Masked men attack 45-year-old in Tubli

A 45-year-old person was severely injured after a mob attacked him in Tubli. The local was reportedly trying to remove road blockages following morning prayer when he was assaulted by four persons. They pelted blocks at him and his car.
“I regularly remove blockades from the road leading to the mosque so that the village residents can pass without problems,” the man said. “But this time, when I tried to do that, four masked men suddenly got down from a car and started attacking me,” he added.
One of the miscreants allegedly dragged the 45-year-old victim into their car, hit him on his head with stones before disposing him.
Meanwhile, the General Director of the Capital Governorate announced in a statement an investigation was launched into the incident.
“Investigators have examined the location and have identified the suspects. The victim reported he was pelted with rocks when he tried to clear a road that rioters had blocked with debris. The complainant sustained head injuries and his car was damaged in the attack”, the statement read.
