A Case filed over BD1.6? Credit card stolen and used for petty amount lands owner in court for reimbursement
Does anyone approach court for BD1.6? Yes a man did. The High Appeals Court has dismissed a Bahraini man’s plea to get back his BD1.6 that was used in a cold store by someone who allegedly stole his credit card. The man had earlier approached the Lower Criminal Court, which dismissed his petition citing the amount was too low. “When my credit card got stolen, I directly reported the crime to the competent authorities within the bank. After a few days, I received an SMS stating that my card was used and BD1.6 was transferred to another account. They should have cancelled my card immediately. Now who will pay my BD1.6?” the man said in his plea.
