Bahrain and Europe Discuss Strategic Ties
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening its strategic partnerships with the European Union across various fields.
Speaking during a meeting with a European Parliament delegation led by HE Reinhold Lopatka, Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with the Arab Peninsula, HRH highlighted the longstanding and distinguished ties between Bahrain and the EU.
The meeting, held at Riffa Palace in the presence of Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, reviewed ways to expand cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual interest.
HRH Prince Salman stressed the importance of further developing economic, trade and investment cooperation, building on existing agreements, memoranda of understanding and established strategic partnerships between Bahrain and the EU.
The two sides also discussed matters of common interest and the latest regional and international developments. HRH Prince Salman highlighted the role of EU countries, alongside brotherly and friendly nations, in supporting regional security and stability.
Several senior officials also attended the meeting.
