Minister opens skills contest

Manama : Bahrain is committed to developing technical and vocational education at the secondary and university levels, and introducing specialisations commensurate with labour market requirements, said Education Minister Dr Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi. 

The minister’s remarks came as he opened yesterday the Bahrain Training Institute (BTI)’s fourth edition Vocational Skills Contest held on the sidelines of the Career Week 2018. Fifty-six trainees participated in the contest that included 15 technical and vocational assorted skills.

Speaking on the occasion, the ministry also encouraged students to join such specialisations as well as professional activities and competitions that boost their skills and creativity to contribute to the nation’s progress.
