Houthi terror denounced

Manama : Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has denounced the recurrent Houthi attacks targeting cities in Saudi Arabia.

“The Iran-made ballistic missile attacks are a dangerous escalation aimed at undermining the security of the Kingdom, the Gulf and the Arab countries,” the minister told Al Sharq Al Awsat daily, adding that the Houthi attacks were a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian conventions and morals.

Al Romaihi praised the Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces, their advanced systems and the vigilance of the Saudi security and military services in thwarting Houthi terrorist attacks, including the interception recently of a ballistic missile launched by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists targeting Najran populated city.

“It was a blatant breach of international and humanitarian laws that proves the implication of Tehran and its terrorist proxies in threatening regional and global peace and security,” he added. The minister urged the international community to take a hard and decisive stance against the  Houthi terrorism, and effective measures against Iran’s escalating violations and its breach of international law and norms.
