Family escapes inferno
Manama : A family in Aali narrowly escaped death yesterday after a fire broke out in their house.
The home in Aali was completely destroyed in the fire, but seven members of the family, including children, miraculously escaped death without any injuries. A woman member of the family sustained minor injuries.
Confirming the incident, the Interior Ministry, on its Twitter account, said: “Civil Defence forces extinguished a fire in a house in Aali. Initial details indicate a short circuit in the electric transformer as the reason.”
Meanwhile, sources confirmed to DT News that the woman sustained only minor injuries, but had to be hospitalised for heavy smoke inhalation.
“She was rushed to a Military Hospital and is now stable. The fire destroyed the house and a car parked inside the garage,” the source added.
