Envoy’s role lauded in ramping up ties with UK

 His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa lauded the role played by the UK Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay in broadening areas of cooperation, and strengthening the long-standing Bahrain-UK relations.

“He is among the Ambassadors who dedicated most of their efforts to build a strategic Bahraini-British partnership based on full cooperation and mutual respect,” HRH Premier remarked.

 Receiving the outgoing British Ambassador at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, HRH Premier lauded the outstanding historical Bahraini-British relations and the existing innumerable areas of bilateral cooperation. He also stressed the strength of Bahraini-British cooperation at the bilateral and international levels.

 HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the UK Ambassador regional and global issues, and wished him every success in his future assignments. Ambassador Lindsay credited HRH Premier for the success of his diplomatic mission. He noted that Prime Minister’s constant support and keenness to maintain the advanced level of bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding had enabled him to assume his duties easily.

 Lindsay expressed his country’s appreciation of the government, led by HRH the Prime Minister, for its support to enhancing joint cooperation. He mentioned Britain’s constant keenness to bolster cooperation with Bahrain in various fields during the meeting.
