The HM the King’s Cup Festival concluded in Sakhir with a high-profile closing racing evening that brought together elite horses, leading owners, trainers, and jockeys for a final day of competition at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club.

Representing His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the closing races held on April 2 and 3 at the club’s racecourse in Al Raffa, where the season’s most prestigious titles were decided.

The event showcased intense competition across Arabian, imported, and Bahraini-bred horse categories, with top contenders vying for HM the King’s Cups and other major trophies concluding the racing season.

Organised by the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, the festival once again highlighted Bahrain’s growing stature in the regional and international horseracing scene.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s continued support for the equestrian sector, noting that this backing plays a key role in sustaining excellence and driving further development within the sport. He also commended the ongoing guidance of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, describing it as vital in preserving Bahrain’s heritage while strengthening its global sporting presence.

He further underlined that Bahrain’s ability to successfully host and organise major equestrian events reflects strong national capabilities and the dedication of skilled Bahraini professionals, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position on the horseracing map.
