Non-Muslims invited for Eid at Grand Mosque

ManamaAll non-Muslims have been invited to Al Fateh Grand Mosque on Eid Al Fitr to be part of the Eid celebrations.

As part of its efforts to promote better understanding and harmony between different faiths and cultures, the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre has announced that it will hold an event on the 2nd and 3rd day of the Eid holidays. This corresponds to June 26 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 4p.m. on both days.

“The main purpose of this function is to provide a unique opportunity for people of other faiths to join us in celebrating and enjoying the Muslim festival of Eid El-Fitr . Our Center is dedicated to spreading the message of peace, love and peaceful co-existence among all people and welcomes all non-Muslim expatriates and tourists who wish to visit this great architectural marvel and experience traditional Arabic hospitality in a serene atmosphere,” the center stated.

“Visitors will experience traditional Arabian hospitality and enjoy traditional Bahraini sweets, cakes, pastries, dates, Arabic coffee and tea.

In addition, there will be henna painting for ladies and calligraphists will write the visitor names in beautiful Arabic calligraphy.  The visitors will also be given a guided tour of the Grand Mosque and briefed on the history of the Centre and the importance of Eid and Ramadan. There will be some special games for children and gifts for the visitors,” it stated.
