Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi reiterated the Ministry’s keenness on providing comprehensive care for gifted students in various fields.

He said that specialised centres for this purpose had been established in 2007 in cooperation with the private sector and a higher committee was formed to follow up on gifted students’ affairs.

The Education Minister was honouring talented students at the annual celebration of Gifted Students Centre (GSC), in which 180 students were honoured in various fields in the presence of Undersecretary for Educational Affairs and Curricula Dr. Abdulla Yusuf Al-Mutawa.

Al Nuaimi congratulated the students and lauded their remarkable achievements. He also expressed gratitude to teachers, parents, officials and experts at the Ministry for their support for the students, including the allocation of 50 scholarships for gifted students.

A documentary about GSC achievements was screened during the ceremony that included an exhibition for the talented student’s work.
