BIC Neon Run set for Friday

Manama : The exciting lead-up to the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix continues this weekend with the latest event on the “Race Fever” programme: the BIC Neon Run, organised by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and ahead of this year’s Formula 1 extravaganza, which is scheduled for April 14 to 16 in Sakhir.

The run on Friday is set to be a brilliant display of colour and enjoyment and set to be a fun-filled event with both adults and children of all ages and athletic abilities taking part.

In the Neon Run, senior participants will be completing the entire length of the circuit while juniors can run for just one kilometer.

The seniors’ event is set to begin at 7pm while the junior run will start at 6.30pm.

All those taking part are free to go at their own pace as the event will not be timed.

Bahrain Grand Prix ticket holders can register and take part for free, while others will have to pay an entry fee.

Runners will be literally glowing in the dark as they enjoy the challenges of BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix track. Everyone will be having an awesome time as they are pelted with bright colours while they groove to the music and engage with others in laughter.

Don’t miss out on this fabulous and worthwhile occasion and feel the “Race Fever” heat up ahead of the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, adding to the family atmosphere of the event, there will be a local traditional market in the BIC vending area open from 4pm until 10pm.

“Race Fever” kicked off earlier in March with a concert by Bryan Adams, and continued with a “King of Desert” drifting championship, and now the Neon Run. It concludes with Formula 2 (newly rebranded from GP2 Series) Testing on March 30 and 31. Race Fever Game Zone will also be open on those days.
