Bahrain’s human rights strides stressed
Geneva : The Kingdom is seeking to achieve an effective partnership with civil society institutions on the basis of transparency, openness and objectivity, according to Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Dossari.
The Minister highlighted the national human rights achievements under the royal reform scheme of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Government Plan 2015-2018, as he delivered Bahrain’s statement at the high-level segment of the United Nations Human Rights Council’s 34th Session in Geneva.
“Bahrain is keen on spreading the values of moderation and tolerance through a slew of educational, learning, religious and media programs and within a clear legislative and societal scheme and a proper economic and social structure,” the Minister stated.
On the Palestinian cause, Al Dossari emphasized support to the two-state solution according to international laws and conventions.
