Bidding process for taxi licenses
Manama : Reviewing the memoranda on its agenda, the session approved, based on a recommendation by the Executive Committee, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince, the launch of a system that applies to licenses issued to companies and institutions to engage in activities related to taxi operations in the Kingdom.
According to the system, highlighted in a memorandum presented by transport minister, licenses to taxis and on-call taxi companies and institutions should be done through bidding.
The system, which does not apply to individuals, also determines the conditions and specifications of the licensed vehicles used by companies or institutions.
