Fireworks to illuminate sky at BIC

ManamaThe largest and most spectacular fireworks display marking the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne will be held on Friday at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

The fireworks are one of the major highlights of this year’s BIC National Day Festival, scheduled to take place from tomorrow to Saturday.

Friday’s fireworks show is scheduled for a 7pm start.

“They have never failed to amaze in past years, with tens of thousands gathering to watch in awe the brilliant colour and lights dancing with the stars in the Sakhir sky,” said organisers.

Members of the public can enjoy the show from within the BIC facilities and for free from surrounding areas.

There will also be a traditionally styled shopping experience with plenty on offer, a corporate exhibition space, children’s activities, a play area, cultural shows, food and beverage outlets.

Organised for the fourth successive year, the festival is a perfect platform to showcase what the business community has to offer in a social atmosphere. Doors will be open daily from 4pm to 10pm. Entrance is 500 fils. Tickets are available at the gate.
