Convicts lose appeal in bus attack case
Manama : Four appellants convicted in connection with attempting to kill a public bus driver in Sanabis have lost their appeals.
The four are believed to be among the mob who have fired several shots against a public bus before setting it alight with firebombs on November 27 two years ago.
The incident almost led to the death of the bus driver who escaped by a very narrow margin. Three of the defendants were earlier handed down life sentences, and the fourth co-defendant was given 15 years behind bars. They were convicted of attempt murder, possessing firebombs, burning a public bus and putting lives in danger.
