Civil Defence deals with 316 fire cases

Manama : Regularly maintain electronic devices and wirings. People should also fix good quality devices that meet safety standards and avoid overloading power connections . Acting Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Abdulaziz Rashid Al Amer, urged to the public.

He also said that one of the worst cases was the death of a citizen when he was electrocuted because of low safety condition. 

The department also processed a fire case at a flat in Buri because of gas leakage, in which seven Asians were injured. To prevent such mishaps, the department called upon people to keep gas cylinders outside the house and maintain the pipes regularly to prevent gas leakage. Gas detection device that is available at shops selling safety tools should also be fixed at home.

The department also inspects labour camps to encourage employers to follow safety conditions, while workers are encouraged to adopt safety lifestyle by avoiding wrong practices.
