Boosting security and stability will remain a top priority: HRH Premier

ManamaIn a tacit reference to the recent security issues, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa reiterated that boosting security and stability will remain a top priority. “Attempts by some people to serve foreign agenda were bitten the dust,” Prince Khalifa said, and urged to thwart attempts to undermine Bahrain’s security and driving wedges among its people.

HRH Premier also stressed the need to preserve national achievements amid fast-paced global developments. The Premier was speaking in a meeting with senior officials, intellectuals, journalists, economic figures and ambassadors at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. 

HRH the Prime Minister discussed with them local and international issues. Praising the awareness of the Bahraini people, he said they could remain united to deter all plots aimed at wreaking anarchy and division. Prince Khalifa also underlined the need for more coordination among the GCC countries to achieve the GCC union. According to him, regional and international changes dictate to further strengthen the GCC entity, as regional security is a priority to confront challenges. 

HRH Premier added that the GCC union will always remain the most sublime goal, pointing out that it has become the need of the hour.

“The circumstances undergone by the Arab and Islamic nations are painful. We have repeatedly warned against what is going around us and we have to draw lessons from that,” HRH the Prime Minister remarked. 

The Premier urged to be more cautious and keen to achieve aspirations. He also lauded the role of journalists in enlightening the community, highlighting national issues and defending the nation. Prince Khalifa urged them to continue playing their roles for the best interest of the community.
