BACA unveils Cultural Tourism Passport

To promote national and architectural sites in the Kingdom, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has introduced Cultural Tourism Passport.
President of BACA, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa said the unique Cultural Tourism Passport featured 21 cultural tourist destinations.
“Post the visit to each site, the visitors will have their passport stamped. Upon visiting all the destinations, they will be able to enter a draw for a chance to win a trip abroad”, she added.
The Cultural Passport is expected to play a major role in attracting tourists to every tourist destination, she said.
Bab-Market Ramadhaniyat
The BACA will also host Bab-Market Ramadhaniyat on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan. Senior Exhibition Specialist at the BACA, Frances Stafford said, the market, which will be opened at the Art Centre and the Cultural Hall near Marina, would allow members of the local community to display their homemade products, arts and crafts.
The event will be held on June 26, 27 and July 3, 4 from 10pm to 1am.
Eid shows
BACA will celebrate Eid Al-Fitr with concerts of Bahraini and Arab artistes. On July 18, Bahrain artistes will perform at the Cultural Hall, while on July 19, Moroccan artistes will showcase their talents at the same venue. On July 21, Gulf nationals will perform at the National Theatre.
- The month-long Bahrain Summer Festival will begin on July 30, under the theme ‘One Year of Heritage’. Various workshops, activities and performance would be organised as part of the festival, which will conclude on August 31.
