BBBF-BBA Corporate Golf Day

The Deakin family, consisting of husband and wife Matthew and Araceli Deakin and son Daniel and daughter Gabriel (56.8 nett) clinched first place in style at the 2015 BBBF-BBA Corporate Golf Day at the Royal Golf Club.
The event was the first golf tournament organised by the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) and was hailed a huge success. Over 100 competitors took part in the Texas Scramble competition which enjoyed support from sponsors Citi Bahrain, Euro Motors, AXA Insurance, AECOM and Etihad Airways.
There were a number of side contests available to competitors during the tournament including a hole in one prize of a Mini car on the 16th hole, sponsored by Euro Motors and AXA Insurance, and a par 3 shoot-out on the 7th hole sponsored by Etihad Airways with a prize of a return ticket to the UK.
A dinner and prize-giving ceremony took place in the Royal Golf Club’s Marquee after the competition with prizes for the first, second and third placed teams and best gross team sponsored by Citi Bahrain. A raffle draw boasting a number of fantastic prizes also took place during the dinner.
The evening was rounded off by some fun FlightScope golfing activities, sponsored by Citi Bahrain, at the Club’s driving range.
These included a Longest Drive contest and a Skills Challenge. “On behalf of the BBBF and all the competitors, I would like to thank all our sponsors for their generous support of this event and for making it such a successful and enjoyable day for everyone,” commented Dena Wales, BBBF Executive Manager and Event Organiser.

3) BBBF and BBA 1: Les Flintham, Ian MacKeller, David Endall and Ghost (62.7 nett).
