Bahrain Non-Oil Exports Rise 6.7pc to BD4.12bn

Bahrain-made non-oil exports rose 6.7 pc in 2025 to about BD4.12 billion, up from BD3.86bn a year earlier, foreign trade figures show.

The increase added nearly BD257 million to the value of goods shipped abroad, led by aluminium, iron and steel, and other factory-made goods.

Saudi Arabia remained the biggest buyer of Bahraini exports, taking goods worth more than BD963.3m during the year. That was up from BD902.5m in 2024, a rise of about 6.7 pc.

The UAE followed with exports worth about BD401m, against BD365.8m the year before, an increase of more than 9.6 pc. The United States came third at nearly BD389.9m, slightly below BD393.7m in 2024.

The Netherlands bought Bahraini goods worth BD192.6m, while exports to Qatar reached about BD166.4m. Qatar saw one of the biggest rises among Bahrain’s larger trade partners, with the value of exports there climbing by about 47 pc from 2024.

Aluminium alloys topped the list of Bahraini export goods, with sales worth about BD1.18bn in 2025, up from roughly BD1.03bn a year earlier. The increase was more than 14.6 pc.

Agglomerated iron ores and concentrates came second at about BD616.4m, down from BD666.3m in 2024, a fall of 7.5 pc.

Other leading exports included non-alloy aluminium wire at BD219.6m, bridges and bridge sections of iron or steel at BD177.9m, processed cheese at BD175.7m, unwrought non-alloy aluminium at BD168.2m, and urea at more than BD145.5m.
