Bahrain to host inaugural Water Sports Federation Cup

The Bahrain Aquatics Sports Federation, under its patronage, will launch the first edition of the Bahrain Aquatics Sports Federation Cup 2026 on June 12–13 at the General Sports Authority swimming pool in Khalifa Sports City.

The event will feature a strong field of leading swimmers and clubs from Bahrain and the wider region.

The new competition marks a significant milestone for aquatic sports in the Kingdom. It is designed to establish an annual sporting tradition that develops young talent and raises the level of competition among local clubs.

Individual awards will be presented to the top-performing swimmers. The first-place finisher will receive $1,000, second place $500, and third place $250.

A Club Open Champion title will also be awarded, along with a $3,000 prize and the championship trophy.

In addition, gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers across all age categories and events.
