Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met participants of the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister’s Programme for Government Executive Development, praising efforts to strengthen national skills and leadership capacity within the public sector.

Dr Al Zayani underlined that investing in national talent and equipping it with advanced knowledge and expertise is a key pillar in improving government performance and supporting Bahrain’s wider development goals. He said this approach reflects the leadership’s continued focus on building efficient institutions capable of meeting future challenges.

The minister’s remarks came during a visit by the programme participants to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they were briefed on government practices and diplomatic work as part of their field training component.

During the meeting, Dr Al Zayani outlined the main pillars of Bahrain’s foreign policy. He said the kingdom’s diplomatic approach is based on safeguarding national sovereignty, protecting territorial integrity, and maintaining internal stability and security.

He also highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to promoting regional and international cooperation, as well as the ongoing efforts of Bahraini diplomatic missions abroad in advancing national interests, strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations, and providing consular support and services to citizens overseas.

The visit forms part of the broader objectives of the executive development programme, which aims to prepare future government leaders through practical exposure to key state institutions.
