Premier receives FIFA President
Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today President of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) Gianni Infantino.
HRH the Premier stressed the key role played by sport in promoting noble humanitarian values, achieving rapprochement between cultures and boosting the principles of peace and co-existence among different civilisations and peoples throughout the world. He affirmed the capability of sport to gain the interest of people and foster the competitive spirit, urging to avail of different sports to hone the youth’s potentials and further stimulate their productivity.
HRH the Prime Minister hailed the efforts of FIFA in developing the football game, wishing the federation more success. He underlined Bahrain’s keenness to boost cooperation with FIFA, pointing out its positive effect on developing sport in Bahrain.
On his part, the FIFA President thanked HRH the Premier for the meeting, praising the ongoing development of football in Bahrain. He also affirmed FIFA keenness to bolster cooperation with Bahrain in this respect.
