First in Middle East: Batelco, Ericsson to deploy 4G Radio Dot

Batelco, Bahrain-based communications solutions provider and Ericsson, a communications technology company, have teamed up to deploy Ericsson’s state-of-the-art 4G LTE Radio Dot System solutions in Bahrain.
Quick and easy to install, Ericsson’s Radio Dot System is designed to deliver an enhanced user experience for both voice and data. The move is part of Batelco’s ongoing strategy to enhance its solutions for business customers and keep them on par with the highest international standards.
Batelco has already launched its first commercial deployment and begun to roll out the solution to its major customers, making Batelco not only the first communications provider in Bahrain to offer the 4G service but also the first 4G Dot solution in the Middle East.
The Ericsson Radio Dot System fully integrates with Batelco’s networks to provide seamless indoor coverage for Batelco’s customers, particularly for large organizations such as hotels, shopping malls and for office enterprise customers.
Batelco A/CEO, Muna Al Hashemi, says: “The Radio Dot solution ensures consistent delivery of high performance in-building voice and data services and will meet the needs of customers who experience issues with mobile coverage particularly in larger buildings.”
