FDPM Fellowship supports young Bahraini leaders: Prince Salman
Manama: Overwhelmed by the stupendous success of the First Deputy Prime Minister (FDPM) Fellowship programme, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has emphasised the importance of continuing to develop the programme to support exceptional young Bahraini leaders within the government.
“The FDPM Fellows are a clear example of the talent that exists amongst Bahrain’s youth, and the important role they play in the Kingdom’s development,” Prince Salman remarked while receiving the first batch of the FDPM Fellowship at Gudaibiya Palace here yesterday.
During the meeting, HRH Crown Prince welcomed the outstanding achievements of the first batch of the FDPM Fellows. Prince Salman praised the commitment that the fellows have demonstrated throughout the programme. HRH Crown Prince also noted their ability to successfully complete the programme’s challenging professional development exercises and training modules.
On the occasion, Prince Salman was briefed regarding the last phase of the programme, including the fellow’s experiences and achievements. “The experiences they have gained would stand them in good stead both professionally and personally,” HRH Crown Prince commented.
Meanwhile, Prince Salman commended the dynamic interaction between the FDPM Fellows and the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) employees, and stressed that the programme was not only beneficial to the fellows, but also to the work of the OFDPM.
Prince Salman expressed gratitude to those who have pioneered the programme within the OFDPM, and praised their extensive efforts and personal commitment to the programme. HRH Crown Prince recalled the experiences of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) since its inception 17 years ago, and its success.
The FDPM Fellows praised the unique experiences they have benefited from throughout the programme, and the role the programme has played in their professional development. They also emphasised their enthusiasm for taking their newly acquired skills back to their work and the contributions they can make to the Kingdom’s development.
