Minister of Youth Affairs Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi visited the Youth City 2030 Outcomes Exhibition to review the programmes, initiatives and youth experiences delivered throughout the programme, as well as the projects and ideas developed by participants.
During her tour, Tawfiqi viewed a range of projects and works produced by participants across various training tracks, highlighting the diversity of young people’s talents and the practical knowledge and skills they gained.
She also reviewed experiences combining theoretical learning with practical application, demonstrating participants’ ability to turn what they learned into innovative ideas and projects with potential for further development.
The minister heard presentations from participants about their projects and experiences, including the stages involved in developing their ideas, the challenges they encountered and the skills they acquired during their participation in Youth City 2030.
Tawfiqi expressed pride in the youth projects and outcomes, saying they represent a tangible result of investing in young people and demonstrate their ability to learn, develop and transform opportunities into ideas, projects and tangible achievements.
She said the true value of Youth City 2030 should be measured by the impact its training programmes and initiatives have on young people’s personalities, skills and ability to take initiative and innovate.
The minister stressed that the projects and ideas developed by young people demonstrate that investing in people is the most sustainable form of investment.
She added that it was particularly encouraging to see young people enter the programme with an idea or talent and leave with new experiences, knowledge, skills and tangible outcomes reflecting what they had learned.
Tawfiqi described Youth City 2030 as a platform for building experiences, developing young people’s capabilities and giving them opportunities to discover their potential, test their ideas and work on developing them.
She said the projects showcased at the exhibition represent the outcome of that journey, demonstrating that Bahrain’s youth possess the energy, ideas and capabilities needed to shape the future.
