'Women Are Key Partners in Healthcare'
Health Minister Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan praised the Supreme Council for Women’s contribution over the past 25 years to advancing Bahraini women and strengthening their participation in national development.
Speaking on the occasion of the Council’s Silver Jubilee, Dr. Jalila said the Council had established an integrated national framework through initiatives, programmes and partnerships that support women’s advancement and utilize their capabilities.
She credited His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, with supporting efforts to strengthen women’s role as active partners in Bahrain’s development.
Dr. Jalila also highlighted the role of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Women, in building institutional support for Bahraini women and expanding their participation across sectors.
She said the Jubilee theme, “25 Years at the Heart of the Reform Project,” reflects women’s roles in the workplace, decision-making, family and society.
In healthcare, Dr. Jalila said Bahraini women remain key partners across medical, nursing, technical, administrative and research fields, contributing to healthcare quality and community health.
She affirmed the Ministry of Health’s commitment to developing female talent and creating wider opportunities for women to contribute to the future of Bahrain’s healthcare sector.
