Khalifa Al Fudhala lifts WHC Brien Trophy
Mohammed Khalifa Al Fudhala (39 points) clinched the annual WHC ‘Bill’ Brien Trophy in cold and blustery conditions at Awali Golf Club.
This was the 25th year of the event which started back in the 1991/92 season when Bill first sponsored the tournament, who sadly died in 2007 and was one of the stalwarts of the Club in his day and continues to be sponsored by the club.
The format was 18-holes Stableford and prizes were later presented to the winners by the club captain, Bill Scarth and the newly appointed vice-captain and tournament director Kerry Diaper.
Results: Overall Winner: Mohammed Khalifa Al Fudhala (39 points),Runner-up: Andy Jopek (38), 3rd: Nasser Eid (37), 4th Gerry McDermott (37), 5th: Diab S Al Noaimi (37), 6th: Anurag Bajaj (36).
