NAC milestone

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the traditional Ardha, organised by the Southern Governorate at the Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al-Fatih Fort in Riffa yesterday, as part of the festivities marking the 15th anniversary of the National Action Charter (NAC).

Upon his arrival, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman was received by Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate and a number of senior officials.

Marking the occasion, HH Shaikh Mohammed extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, HRH the Crown Prince and all Bahrainis.

Then he joined the festivities, participating in the traditional Ardha dance and listening to the recitation of several patriotic poems, which celebrated the Kingdom’s development.

In commemoration of this important event, HH Shaikh Mohammed highlighted the many key achievements of HM the King’s development programme, noting that they serve as a deep source of pride for all Bahrainis. He also stressed on the importance of continued national support for Bahrain’s long-term development.

HH Shaikh Mohammed concluded his address by noting that the celebrations reflected national sentiments of unity and loyalty. 

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa also congratulated the leadership and the people of Bahrain on the NAC anniversary. 

The Governor of the Southern Governorate expressed his pride to participate in the celebration that marks the 15th anniversary of the NAC, which was overwhelmingly endorsed by 98.4pc of voters.

He also highlighted that the wide participation of Bahrainis in the traditional Ardha reflected their support to the country’s long-term development.
