ATC to support children with cancer

Rotaract Bahrain, which is a part of Rotary International, will hold a charity event - “Against the Clock (ATC)” – next month to raise funds to “provide generic support to children with cancer”.

The event will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 9am to 5pm at Albander Hotel & Resort here.

“ATC is back this year with new games involving both physical and mental challenges to encourage team work, effective communication, and leadership skills,” said ATC Committee Chairman Mahmood Almohri. 

“Rotaract Bahrain is hoping to raise enough funds through sponsorships and team participations in order to execute the event,” he added. “Apart from the games, ATC is a family carnival with events like face-painting for children and various musical and entertainment performances.”

ATC is open to teams sponsored by companies, clubs and universities with a registration fee of BD100 per team. The ATC panel has invited sponsors who would like to take part in the event till the end of February 2016.

Recently, Rotaract Bahrain, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Manama has pledged to refurbish the Oncology department at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
