Tamkeen Brings “Career World” Closer to Students through Interactive Platform

“Career World” platform showcases more than 160 professions and provides information on the academic disciplines, skills, and career pathways associated with each.

The Labour Fund "Tamkeen" announced the launch of the interactive booth for "Career World," an initiative under Skills Bahrain, at City Centre Bahrain, in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez and Ms. Alya Al Aali, Deputy Chief Executive of Strategy and Insights. The initiative reflects Tamkeen's ongoing commitment to equipping students and young Bahrainis with the information and insights needed to make informed educational and career pathways, enabling them to explore career opportunities and gain deeper insights into skills and specializations demanded by the labor market.

Located at Entrance 1 of City Centre Bahrain, the booth aims to expand access to the "Career World" platform and raise awareness among students and parents about its services. The platform supports informed educational and career decision-making through access to up-to-date labor market insights and data-driven guidance.

The “Career World” platform also provides a dedicated space for students seeking career guidance and counselling, where they can book appointments for guidance sessions available at the platform in City Centre Bahrain or through the booking link available on the “Career World” Instagram account. The interactive platform enables visitors to explore a wide range of professions and economic sectors, learn about the nature of different jobs and the related skills, and gain insight into available career opportunities and pathways. This contributes to promoting a culture of early career planning and helps students align their interests and capabilities with labour market requirements.

On the occasion, Ms. Alya Al Aali, Deputy Chief Executive of Strategy and Insights said: "Through Skills Bahrain, we continue to translate labor market insights into practical tools that help students and young Bahrainis make informed decisions about their future. By bringing Career World closer to where students and families are, we are expanding access to valuable career guidance resources and helping more individuals understand the opportunities available to them. Following the strong engagement witnessed during Youth City 2030, the platform's presence at City Centre Bahrain will enable us to reach a broader audience and further support future career planning."

"Career World" is Bahrain's first specialized platform dedicated to career guidance and counselling. The platform is an initiative from Skills Bahrain under the umbrella of "Tamkeen," in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Higher Education Council, and uses data powered by the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA).

The platform serves students from an early age, parents, and career counsellors by providing reliable information and labor market insights that support informed educational and career planning. It also acts as a comprehensive resource for career counsellors, helping them guide students and align their interests and aspirations with current and future labor market requirements.

The platform is accessible at www.careerworld.bh where students and stakeholders can discover career pathways and make use of its interactive guidance resources.  The launch of the “Career World” platform is aligned with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2026, which focus on areas with the highest on the economy and Bahrainis. It also reflects Tamkeen’s role in shaping career pathways through programs that connect skills with opportunities in the labor market, adopting innovative approaches to stimulate private sector growth and financing, and implementing programs that enhance the Fund’s efficiency and effectiveness by developing internal mechanisms and continuously strengthening governance.
