hm King Meets UK Defence Chief
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received Lieutenant General Sir Charlie Collins, the United Kingdom’s Deputy Chief of Defence Staff for Military Strategy and Operations, during his visit to Bahrain on August 11.
The meeting highlighted the strong and longstanding partnership between Bahrain and the UK, particularly in defence and military affairs. King Hamad stressed the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The two sides also discussed regional and international developments, including the latest developments in the region and issues of common interest.
King Hamad praised the UK’s role in supporting regional and international security and stability, while Lieutenant General Collins expressed appreciation for the King’s efforts to strengthen the historic friendship and close defence cooperation between the two countries.
