HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa reaffirmed that Bahrain’s security and unity remain a shared responsibility, “a trust in the hands of all its citizens."

Speaking to the media, the HM King said a recent incident, which Bahrain attributed to an Iranian attack, exposed attempts to undermine the country’s security while also revealing “true loyalties” during a critical moment.

He noted that Bahrain’s armed forces remained on high alert and fully prepared to defend the nation.

His Majesty called on Iran to cease interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain and other Gulf states, expressing strong concern over actions he said threatened national sovereignty.

He added that such concerns reflected broader public sentiment across the Kingdom.

The King also criticised individuals accused of cooperating with external actors, describing such actions as a betrayal of national trust. He stressed that citizenship represents a binding responsibility and commitment, not merely a formal status.

Addressing the legislative authority, His Majesty expressed regret over the alignment of some parties accused of undermining national security, underscoring that public representation requires loyalty to the nation.

He added that legal measures taken against those convicted in related cases aimed at safeguarding stability and preventing escalation, noting that citizens across the Gulf broadly support firm action against such violations.

The King concluded by emphasising that freedom must be exercised responsibly within the framework of national loyalty, reaffirming that Bahrain’s unity and security remain paramount priorities.
