Shura Council Chairman Highlights Bahrain’s Labour Progress ahead of International Labour Day

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, affirmed that Bahrain’s continued progress in developing its labour system reflects a strong commitment to protecting workers’ rights and promoting a fair and supportive work environment.
Marking International Labour Day, Al Saleh said these achievements are guided by the directives of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose vision has established principles of justice, fairness and modern legislation aligned with global developments.
He expressed pride in the Kingdom’s leadership, noting that national development efforts place Bahraini citizens at the centre of progress, supported by initiatives that enhance digital transformation, build national skills and create quality employment opportunities.
Al Saleh also reaffirmed the Shura Council’s commitment to advancing labour legislation in line with future needs, strengthening national gains and supporting Bahrain’s comprehensive development journey.
He commended the government, led by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for launching strategic initiatives that enhance the labour market, promote partnership and responsibility, and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
The chairman further highlighted the role of “Team Bahrain” and the contributions of workers across sectors, praising their dedication and describing them as key partners in driving the Kingdom’s ongoing development and achievements.
