Youth
In classrooms, sports fields, start-up spaces and volunteer initiatives, Bahrain’s young people are quietly shaping the country’s present while carrying its future on their shoulders. Their energy, ambition and growing sense of responsibility were at the centre of reflections marking Bahraini Youth Day, a national occasion observed on 25 March each year.
Chaired by Shura Council member Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi, the committee described the day as more than a celebration. It is a moment to recognise how young Bahrainis actively contribute to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, turning ideas into achievements that mirror both awareness and determination. Across sectors, their presence is increasingly visible, not only in numbers, but in impact.
Support
Behind these efforts lies a system of support that many young Bahrainis feel in their daily lives. The continued care and vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, alongside the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have helped build an environment where opportunity feels within reach.
This backing is not abstract. It is reflected in programmes, opportunities and spaces that allow young people to grow, experiment and lead. For many, it has meant turning passion into profession, and ideas into initiatives that serve the wider community.
Impact
The role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has also been pivotal, with initiatives that continue to open doors for youth across humanitarian, sporting and leadership fields. Alongside him, the ongoing efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa have strengthened the Kingdom’s youth and sports sectors, giving young Bahrainis platforms to excel locally and internationally.
For the community, these efforts are felt not only in policies, but in pride. Parents see it in their children’s confidence. Teachers witness it in classrooms. And across Bahrain, young people are proving that they are not waiting for the future, they are already building it.
