MOI: 6 Arrested for Sharing Misleading Videos and Inciting Attacks
Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of six individuals for publishing video clips related to the aftermath of recent Iranian aggression and expressing sympathy while glorifying hostile acts.
The Cybercrime Directorate under the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security carried out the arrests after identifying the suspects’ involvement in circulating the videos through their social media accounts.
According to the ministry, the individuals also shared false information and incited attacks against sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Authorities said the content aimed to mislead public opinion, spread fear among citizens and residents, and harm national security and public order.
Legal procedures have been taken against the suspects, and they have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
