Interior Minister Visits Civil Defence to Review Readiness

The Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, visited the General Directorate of Civil Defence today to review operational readiness and security efficiency in dealing with the repercussions of the ongoing Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visit aimed to strengthen emergency response mechanisms and enhance civil protection measures.

At the beginning of the visit, the minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister. Their message praised the professionalism and courage of Civil Defence personnel in responding to fires and incidents caused by the unjustified Iranian attacks affecting citizens, residents, infrastructure, and civilian facilities.

The minister highlighted the high level of response shown by Civil Defence officers, personnel, and volunteers in handling the incidents and strengthening civil protection. He noted that their dedication reflects strong preparation and commitment to national responsibility, emphasizing their coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and the National Ambulance Service to manage emergencies effectively and safeguard lives and property.

He added that serving Bahrain during such challenging circumstances is an honor and a national responsibility. The Bahrain Police, he said, remain committed to fulfilling their duties day and night, in times of peace and crisis, protecting the nation’s achievements with discipline, loyalty, and determination.

The minister also expressed appreciation for police personnel across all departments for their professional performance and thanked the Chief of Police and the Director-General of Civil Defence for their continuous field follow-up. He further praised national institutions, citizens, residents, and volunteers for their active participation in supporting Civil Defence during emergencies, highlighting the importance of community partnership in strengthening public safety and security.

He concluded by praying for the continued safety, security, and stability of Bahrain.
