Registration will be open for ten days, from 29 March to 7 April 2026, as part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting higher education and enabling Bahraini youth to pursue university studies.
This year, the program offers scholarships for bachelor’s degrees at partner universities, including University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic, as well as scholarships under the late HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa at the British University of Bahrain, University of Bahrain for Technology, Bangor and London universities via the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, the European University in Bahrain, Ahlia University, and the American University of Bahrain.
Additionally, the program includes the HRH Sheikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa scholarship for medical studies at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland for University of Bahrain students. Applicants for private universities must submit an acceptance letter along with their application form.
Her Her Highness Sheikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the foundation’s Board, expressed her happiness at opening the registration, emphasizing that the growing interest of Bahraini students in higher education reflects youth awareness of the importance of learning and its role in building the nation’s future. She highlighted that program graduates have proven their excellence in various workplaces, occupying key positions in both government and private sectors, underscoring the program’s quality and sustainable impact in developing national talents.
She also emphasized the foundation’s desire to form new partnerships to expand the number of beneficiaries and enhance investment in education, while supporting students through initiatives that foster personal and academic development, preparing them to contribute effectively to the nation’s progress.
Applicants are encouraged to fill out the registration form on the foundation’s official website. Selection will be based on academic achievement and performance in evaluation activities, including written tests, personal interviews, and a review of accomplishments such as volunteer work.
Launched in 2011, the “Rayaat” scholarship program was designed to provide a comprehensive initiative that enhances student skills in line with labor market needs. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded 491 scholarships and will welcome the 16th cohort of students this year.
The program covers enrollment in accredited Bahraini universities and offers additional benefits such as financial incentives, training opportunities across government and private sectors, and skill-development workshops that build confidence and prepare students for the professional world.
The foundation’s vision is to equip youth with the knowledge and experience needed to secure suitable employment, create a conscious and educated generation capable of responsibility, and face challenges effectively for a brighter future.
Established in 2011 as a nonprofit registered with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Al-Mabarrah Khalifia Foundation aims to create a positive social impact through education and youth empowerment by offering workshops, courses, and skill-building programs that benefit both the students and the nation.
