Projects planned under Eskan Bank’s new housing programme feature a 168-flat complex in Seef, a second Seef scheme due to start in March, and new residential blocks in East Sitra and Nabih Saleh.
The bank laid out the package in a briefing to the Capital Trustees Board, describing work under way and other schemes still in preparation across the Capital.
It said the programme centres on large housing projects and mixed-use buildings that pair homes with service and retail space.
Project
In Seef, the bank said the ‘Al Seef Greens’ project will consist of four buildings containing 168 apartments, with shops in the same complex. The site is opposite La Chocola.
The briefing also referred to a future idea tied to the project: a study into building a bridge that would link the Al Seef Greens complex to Seef Mall.
A separate housing project in Seef remains under study, with the bank expecting work to begin in March.
In East Sitra, the bank said an approved project calls for six residential buildings.
Service
Three are due to start next month and are planned to include service outlets and a supermarket.
The other three are still being designed, with construction expected to begin in the third quarter of this year.
In Nabih Saleh, the bank said a housing project that includes service outlets remains at the design stage, though a building permit has been issued. Work is due to begin in March.
