Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan attends graduation ceremony of 878 new police personnel

Chief of Police, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, attended yesterday morning the graduation ceremony of 878 new police personnel, representing several batches, in addition to the seventh batch of Community Police, in the presence of officers and officials from the Ministry of Interior.

On this occasion, the Chief of Police affirmed that the progress and achievements attained by the Bahrain Police are the result of the Royal support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He also hailed the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, of all efforts aimed at safeguarding security and reinforcing stability.

Al Hassan explained that development and modernisation across all sectors of the Ministry of Interior continue steadily, in line with the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and his support to achieve the highest levels of readiness and efficiency through the continued implementation of development plans aimed at strengthening security and stability.

Efforts

He noted the ongoing efforts to enhance the policing system, reinforce community partnership and strengthen engagement with the public.

The Chief praised the comprehensive development programmes implemented by the Royal Academy of Police, within the framework of skills development in accordance with the latest international standards applied in academic and training curricula, in line with operational developments and modern technologies in police work.

He noted that the 878 new police personnel who graduated today were prepared in accordance with the latest scientific and training systems, taking into account contemporary concepts and challenges, modern approaches to combating organised crime, and adherence to the rules and procedures of police work.

Al Hassan also commended Tamkeen’s cooperation in supporting national talents and competencies, and in enhancing their capabilities by preparing qualified cadres capable of carrying out duties and responsibilities with high efficiency and precision.

He added that the advanced training programmes received by the graduates enhance their readiness to perform their duties in accordance with the highest standards of professionalism and commitment to the law, reflecting a civilised image and contributing to strengthening mutual trust between police officers and the community.

For his part, the Commander of the Royal Academy of Police, Major-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, confirmed that during their period of study, the graduates received integrated academic programmes alongside practical training, field skills, computer skills and best practices in dealing with the public, ensuring their full readiness.

In his address at the ceremony, he added that the graduation of the seventh batch of Community Policing represents an important step in strengthening community partnerships and in building bridges of trust and cooperation with citizens and residents.

Following the graduates’ taking of the oath, the Chief honoured the top-ranking graduates, congratulating all new police personnel on their graduation after being prepared to the highest academic and training standards, praising the positive results they achieved, which will be reflected in security performance, and wishing them continued success in serving the nation.
