Air India Express, India’s first international value carrier, has announced a limited-period New Year offer providing significant discounts on excess baggage for guests travelling from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE to India. Under this promotion, travelers can pre-book additional check-in baggage in 5 kg or 10 kg increments at exceptionally low rates, such as AED 2, SAR 2, or BHD 0.2. The offer is available for bookings made until January 31, 2026, for travel between January 16 and March 10, 2026.
Valid across all fare categories, including Xpress Value, Xpress Flex, Xpress Biz, and the baggage-free Xpress Lite, this deal must be selected during the initial booking flow via the airline’s website, mobile app, or major booking channels. By adding an extra 10 kg to the standard 30 kg allowance, passengers can now carry up to 40 kg of luggage, making it more affordable to transport gifts and essentials to family and friends during the holiday season.
