Nepal Embassy in Bahrain Hosts Special Session to Mark Second World Meditation Day

To commemorate the Second World Meditation Day, the Embassy of Nepal in Bahrain organized a "Special Interaction and Meditation Programme" on December 21, 2025. Held at the Ambassador’s Residence, the event was organized in collaboration with Jeevan Vigyan, Nepal, and saw active participation from the Nepali expatriate community.
Welcoming the attendees, Ambassador Tirtha Raj Wagle highlighted the significance of the day, which was officially proclaimed by the United Nations in December 2024. He emphasized Nepal’s unique position as a land with a rich cultural and spiritual heritage, serving as a global center for meditation and mindfulness.
The session was led by Mr. Raju Humagain, an instructor from Jeevan Vigyan, who guided participants through energization exercises, specialized breathing techniques, and 'Swajagaran' (self-awakening) meditation. This was followed by an in-depth discussion on yoga, inner health, and the importance of holistic well-being in a modern lifestyle.
Facilitated by Third Secretary Mr. Deepraj Joshi, the gathering included representatives from various Nepali community associations and embassy family members. The program concluded as a meaningful experience of self-reflection and community engagement, reinforcing the importance of mental and physical health.
