Al Areen Reserve renamed after Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed
On the occasion of the 54th Union Day of the United Arab Emirates, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has decreed that Al Areen Reserve be named the Mohammed Bin Zayed Nature Reserve, in honour of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The reserve features a visitors’ section showcasing the region’s native animals and birds, alongside a conservation area dedicated to protecting the Bahraini oryx and the Arabian oryx.
The royal decree reflects HM the King’s appreciation for the UAE President’s efforts in strengthening the deep-rooted fraternal and historical ties between Bahrain and the UAE, as well as His Highness’s enduring affection and support for Bahrain and its people.
