Opening
Winter Wonderland at Royal Saray Resort welcomed visitors with a seasonal, family-focused experience, as the Daily Tribune attended the event and observed strong turnout from families and children seeking a festive winter atmosphere in Bahrain.
Setting
The hotel’s outdoor areas were transformed to reflect a winter theme, with artificial snow covering large sections of the venue and decorative lighting setting a seasonal backdrop. The event was designed to recreate the feel of a winter village, offering visitors a temporary escape from the Kingdom’s usual warm climate.
Attendance
Families formed the majority of attendees, with children engaging actively in the various attractions spread across the site. The layout allowed visitors to move freely between activities, creating a relaxed environment suited to all age groups.
Santa
Santa Claus was a central figure throughout the evening, appearing among the crowd and distributing gifts to children. His presence prompted long queues of families waiting for photographs, adding a traditional festive element that resonated strongly with younger visitors.
Skating
A small skating area was installed specifically for children, allowing them to try skating in a controlled and safe environment. Parents were seen watching closely as children took part, many experiencing skating for the first time.
Refreshments
The venue also featured stalls offering light refreshments, including hot beverages and sweet treats. These options complemented the winter theme and provided visitors with convenient breaks between activities, particularly during the evening hours.
Schedule
Winter Wonderland at Royal Saray is open daily from 4pm until late night allowing visitors to experience the attraction throughout the evening. The event positioned itself as a calm, organised seasonal offering, with a clear focus on atmosphere, accessibility and family participation.
