LMRA receives NIHR delegation

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) received a delegation from the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), which included Dr. Mallallah Al Hammadi, NIHR Vice Chairperson and Member of the Board of Commissioners; Dr. Abdulla Al Thawadi, Board Member; and Muna Koro, Board Member.
The delegation was briefed on LMRA’s efforts to maintain a fair and stable work environment that safeguards the rights of all parties. They were also updated on key initiatives, including the development of the Wage Protection System to enable electronic salary payments in the private sector and the issuance of an international bank account number (IBAN) for every expatriate worker in Bahrain.
The visit included an overview of procedures carried out by the Employers Services Directorate and the Expatriate Services Directorate, covering workers in both the commercial and domestic sectors. The delegation visited the Expat Protection Centre, where they received a briefing on its services.
