Bahrain Strengthens Civil Service Cooperation with Malaysia

Virtual meeting advances joint projects and human resources development initiatives.

The Civil Service Office held a virtual coordination meeting with the Public Service Department of Malaysia to discuss ways to activate bilateral cooperation and establish the operational framework for implementing joint projects under the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Bahrain and Malaysia on civil service human resources management.

The meeting was co-chaired by Ms Reem Hasan Marhoon, Director General of Policies and Pay at the Civil Service Office, and Dr Dato Mohamad Bukhari bin Ismail, Deputy Director General of the Malaysian Public Service Department. Both sides reviewed key initiatives in the joint executive programme and explored future cooperation to strengthen institutional efficiency and enhance government human resources systems.

The Civil Service Office presented the main areas of collaboration, including knowledge exchange in public sector leadership development and supportive measures to reinforce institutional performance. The presentation also highlighted digital transformation initiatives and efforts to expand electronic participation across government entities, aimed at improving service quality and overall operational effectiveness.
