Bahrain, Malaysia seek broader cooperation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Malaysia held bilateral talks reaffirming their strong relations and mutual desire to expand cooperation across all sectors. This came as HM King Hamad paid a visit yesterday to HM Sultan Ibrahim at the Malaysian royal residence.
Later, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, bid the Malaysian King farewell following a successful state visit.
After the meeting, Their Majesties proceeded to the Police Fort, where they were received at the royal platform by His Excellency Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, accompanied by the police cavalry. Following the discussions, HM King Hamad Hamad bid farewell to the Malaysian monarch, commending the success of the state visit and highlighting its role in strengthening fraternal ties and promoting further growth and prosperity for both nations.
The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by H.E. Shaikh Rashid, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Head of the Honorary Delegation, in honour of HM the King of Malaysia and his accompanying delegation.
