5th India-Bahrain High Joint Commission held in New Delhi

Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, arrived in India on Monday to co-chair the 5th India-Bahrain High Joint Commission (HJC) meeting alongside India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shared the update on X, stating: “Warm welcome to FM Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He will be co-chairing the 5th India-Bahrain High Joint Commission meeting with EAM Dr S Jaishankar. This visit offers an opportunity to build on the positive momentum in India-Bahrain relations.”

During his visit, Dr. Alzayani engaged in discussions with Dr. Jaishankar, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation and further strengthening ties between the two nations. The Foreign Minister concluded his visit on Monday.

This high-level engagement follows Dr. Jaishankar’s visit to Bahrain in December of last year, during which he co-chaired the 4th India-Bahrain High Joint Commission meeting. Both visits underscore the commitment of India and Bahrain to deepening diplomatic, economic, and strategic relations.
