Minister of Tourism: ‘Hotel services reflect authentic Bahraini hospitality, enhancing Kingdom's position on global tourism map’

The hospitality industry is a key partner in the success of Bahrain’s tourism sector, playing an active role in achieving the objectives of the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026, Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism affirmed. She noted that the Kingdom’s world-class hospitality offerings directly contribute to its positioning as a major tourist destination that meets the highest quality standards, while reflecting Bahrain’s unique identity and its authentic heritage of hospitality.
She was speaking at a meeting with representatives of the hospitality sector during which key statistics related to the tourism sector's performance this year were reviewed. The meeting discussed ways of improving cooperation during Celebrate Bahrain 2025, as well as comprehensive efforts by both the ministry and the hotels to develop the sector.
Her Excellency the Minister explained that hospitality is a key component of the national tourism ecosystem, stressing that the close partnership between the Ministry and hoteliers directly contributes to raising the quality of services and enhancing the overall tourism experience. She added that the successes achieved during the Celebrate Bahrain season in previous years reflects a spirit of cooperation between the public and private sectors, noting that this year will witness a more diverse calendar of tourism experiences than ever before, raising the Kingdom's position as an all round regional family and entertainment destination.
Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) CEO, Sara Ahmed Buhiji praised the role of hotels and other tourism establishments, which she said are a fundamental pillar of the sector's infrastructure and a pivotal element of the tourist experience. Ongoing cooperation with these establishments has resulted in innovative tourism packages that combine accommodations, events, entertainment, and shopping during Celebrate Bahrain, enhancing the Kingdom's attractiveness as a destination.
Representatives of the sector expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and the BTEA in enhancing Bahrain’s tourist attractions, affirming their commitment to providing the best offerings to visitors during the coming season. This will contribute to the sector’s continued growth, consolidating the Kingdom’s position on the regional and international tourism map.
