Historic Pastoral Visit to Bahrain

His Holiness Aboon Mor Baselios Joseph Bawa, the Supreme Catholicos of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Malankara Metropolitan, and successor to the Holy Parumala Thirumeni, is arriving in Bahrain for his first pastoral visit. It was announced at a press meet yesterday conducted at the Church. 

His Holiness Aboon Mor Baselios Joseph Bawa will arrive in Bahrain on October 23rd. That evening, he will lead the installation service of the holy relic of His Holiness Ignatius Elias III Patriarch Bawa (interred in Manjanikkara)  following the Evening Prayer.  On Friday, October 24th, the Morning Prayer  will be offered at 6:45 AM, followed by the Holy Qurbana (Mass) at 8:00 AM.

On the evening of the same day, a grand reception and felicitation ceremony for His Holiness the Catholicos Bawa will take place at the Gulf Air Club Auditorium in Salmabad at 6:00 PM.

The ceremony will be presided over by Metropolitan Mathews Mor Theodosius (Patriarchal Vicar of the Bahrain St. Peter's Parish). The Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Vinod K. Jacob, will be the chief guest. Other participants include Bishop Aldo Berardi, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, and the Parish Vicar, Reverend Sleeba Paul Corepiscopa Vattavelil.

The event will also feature a musical evening titled 'Symphonia - 2025,' presented by playback singer Mridula Warrier from Kerala, Idea Star Singer star Aravind, and singer Joy Simon, among others.

The press conference convened regarding this visit was attended by Managing Committee office bearers: Benny P. Mathew (Vice President), Manosh Kora (Secretary), Jenson Jacob (Trustee), Sabu Paulose (Joint Trustee), Eldho V. K. (Joint Secretary), along with committee members Lijo K. Alex, Biju Thelappilly, Prinu Kurian, Lovely Thampi, Gino Scaria, Jaimon Thankachan, and Anson P. Isaac.
